If you read the post from yesterday you may have noticed a very important birthday was left out of my list of April birthdays. My nephew NIKO is now 4 years old! Here he is posing with his Yiayia and Papou the day of his party. His amazing “Pablo” cake was made by my own big sister. Happy Birthday, Niko. I saved the best for last !
WOW - April flew by. I went to Florida to celebrate my mom’s 82nd birthday. I was there from April 9 to 16. My sister and brother-in-law were also there for part of my visit and that made it even more special. Mom is well - she has her ups and downs but she’s hanging in there. The weather was disappointing for me because we had a cold spell but that didn’t spoil the fun. It’s always great to see my family - my aunts and cousins. I have a slide show here if you’d like to see some of my trip.
I came back to Toronto in time to celebrate my nephew Geoffrey’s birthday and also my brother-in-law Peter’s. Here are a few pictures of that party. Also celebrating birthday’s in April are my niece, Eleni, and my cousin’s daughter, Sevi, my other cousin’s son, Robbie, and my cousin Maria who shares mom’s birth date! April is a busy birthday month.
I’m just back from spending 5 days in Ottawa where Eddie and I continued our house search. We’ve narrowed our search down to two houses and neither one is built yet. Minto (the company Eddie’s working for) has some beautiful homes and making this decision is NOT easy. By my next post we should know which house we will be moving to and the expected time line. We are praying for wisdom to make the right choice. On our drive back yesterday we experienced some crazy weather. We had snowy rain for part of the trip then beautiful sunshine and several rainbows along the way. In fact, the end of one rainbow was right in front of us in our lane on the 401. It was the first time I actually saw the end of a rainbow and I can now say, without question, that there is NO pot of gold!
May looks like it will be just as busy as April and maybe even more so. Three family birthdays and a wedding plus some church activities and I’m sure another trip to Ottawa for me. I’ll do my best to keep up on my posting . . .
