That’s our Irene with boyfriend Gordon and his mom and dad, Christina and Tom. They left Friday, July 27, for Scotland and will be there four weeks, staying with different members of their family. Eddie, Jason and I met them at the KEG (restaurant) in Mississauga along with Steve, Kathryn and baby Orlaith, hours before their flight. We’ve had two calls from Irene already and she’s having a great time and says everything is green and beautiful. Woo Hoo - now off to find the wool stores Irene . . .
On July 24 our son, Jason, will be 30 years old! How did this happen? All I can say is that it’s been a fast and wonderful 30 years.

Well - since I’m always posting pictures of the back of our house, I thought it was time to post one of the front.
Yep - they are tearing apart our boulevards for some serious hydro repairs. So, when we look out our front windows we see mountains of dirt, all kinds of heavy duty tractor/shovels and a “nature’s call” booth. (also known as a “johnny-on-the-spot” or “porta-potty”). It’s very noisy and dusty and takes forever to leave our neighbourhood with all the trucks and workers. Hopefully, we will have less hydro black-outs as a result.
Today was our church picnic. It’s a very cold and wet day but we managed to have a great time. Tomorrow we expect a crowd of family and friends over to celebrate Jason’s 30th birthday. Rain, rain, stay AWAY! I’ll be posting more on that after tomorrow.
Our June garden photos are up. I had many contributing photographers - Eddie, Jason and Irene took loads of photos and it was really hard to choose the ones for the slide show. I hope I have as much help for the July photos.
This photo taken by Irene is of a peony ready to bloom. She was here on the day the buds were just ready to pop. She also took the picture of the daisy starting to uncurl it’s petals and the garden worm, chicks and hens and tools. Jason took the shot of Eddie and Michael Knott having a little visit while he was here for weekend and of me watering. The cute birdhouse shot was Jason’s too. Eddie took the other close ups of the flowers. As I said, making the choice was really hard.
