Eddie and I drove all the way to Massachusetts (10 hours drive) to celebrate Erin’s 2nd birthday on November 23. We had a great time eating cake and turkey (oh -it was also Am. Thanksgiving) and playing with the kids. If you wanna see how Greek’s celebrate, click HERE and enjoy the show!
OK - to further explain the last post, Eddie will explain:
From the dotcom heritage of UrbanVillage to iRover to WiredKingdom to Eclipse to CustomerDNA, PikSpot is born. Those who have watched videos on YouTube.com or posted content on MySpace.com or joined Yahoo Groups will be familiar with the concept of PikSpot.com. Canadian hi-tech think leader and author of international fame, Don Tapscott, described PikSpot at his presentation at the Web 2.0 Conference November 7, 2006 as the next to come after YouTube and MySpace. PikSpot allows Internet users to view, contribute, share, rank, leave comments (by text and webcam) and organize content of any type: text, voice, pictures and video, all in one place, without having to go to different websites.
November’s “private beta launch” is a soft start, featuring mostly the content from the TWiT/Tech TV hosts and contributors: Leo Laporte, Chris Pirillo, Lab Rats, Geekdad, etc. During this private beta, PikSpot, the host for UndoTV, will be releasing invitations gradually to the 9,000+ people who have registered for a log-in code, requesting them to help test drive and perform the equivalence of a UAT (user acceptance test). The PikSpot team will be accepting not only bug reports, but also suggestions to make the platform better and easier to use from these early adopters.
Full launch will happen in January, when the full functionality of PikSpot will be available for the public.

As I mentioned in an earlier post Friday night, Nov. 10, we had a pot luck at BPC. It was a great time complete with “Bill” and “Bob”. Fast Eddie has put together a small video clip of our evening. If you click HERE you can watch it.
October 27 - 28 was our Alpha weekend. We went to Fair Havens Conference Center about 1 1/2 hours north of TO. We’ve been there many times and Irene actually worked there for a couple of summers at the youth camp, Fair Glen. It was a cold and wet weekend for us but we still managed to have a great time. Please click HERE for to see another movie clip of our Alpha weekend.

We have had a great weekend. Friday night we had a Church Family Pot Luck which was sponsored by our Small Groups. Saturday night was Eddie’s “Spiritual” Food Basics class - No Frills Christianity, and this morning was church. Our friend, Bruce Nethercott (posing with Eddie) wonderfully explained the meaning of Communion to us. You can hear his talk if you click here.
I hope to post some pics of our pot luck. Our Ladies Group is working hard on our Christmas Gifts for the homeless. At our pot luck and again this morning, two of our crazy friends did some outrageous promo for us. Eddie caught some of it on camera. He is working on a small video clip which I hope to post for your enjoyment. Meanwhile, their hard work for us along with much prayer resulted in an offering of $1,050.74 today. PTL! That brings our donations total to $1,590.74 to date. Next Sunday is the official cut-off date and Tuesday, Nov. 21 (that’s the day after the 20th as was mentioned in our promo skit) we will have our gift bag assembly night. Ladies Group has lots more shopping to do and now we can afford to do it! Woo Hoo!
Keep checking back because I will post more on this . . .
I’m realizing that time just goes by so quickly. My last post was around Thanksgiving and here it is Nov. 3. Yesterday was our 32 wedding anniversary. Time flies! Eddie and I just got back from taking Jason and his friend Felix to the airport. They will be gone for a couple of weeks touring Germany and Austria. I wish we were going with them! Hopefully, internet cafes will be on every corner and they can drop us an email and keep us up-to-date with their day trips.
Meanwhile, here are recent pics of our nieces and nephews. The 3 hatted ones are from New England - my sister’s grandchildren, and Jonathan is from down under - Eddie’s sister’s grandson. I can’t stop looking at these pictures they are so CUTE!
