Thanks Jason, Meet the Parents, Thanksgiving / Mid-Autum Festival !
My amazing tech support, Jason, actually directed me to the screen where I could de-select the option to receive trackbacks so it looks like I can keep my blog going! It’s great having a son who knows about these things. I wouldn’t have a blog without him.
So, now I can update you on our great last weekend - specifically Monday. First of all Eddie and I were finally able to meet our daughter’s boyfriend’s parents - after about 3 years of dating. Christina and Tom, along with Gord’s brother Steve and his very pregnant wife, Kathryn (yes, she spells her name like me!) came over for pie and ice cream on Monday - Canadian Thanksgiving. We had a delightful time. Many nations were represented around our table: Canadian, American, Chinese, Greek and Scottish. With so many differences we managed to zero in on the international language of music, which naturally brought us to the BEATLES. We spent about two hours going through all my old Beatles memorabilia. It was so much fun! Our two families got along very well and I just know we will be able to pick where we left off next time we meet. I look forward to getting the call that Kathryn had her baby - Monday was her due date! Here are some pictures of our visit:

After the McCready’s left we went over to Peter & Mahmah’s place and had a Chinese feast. We were all there: Peter, Mahmah, Alice & Bob, Geoffry & Katie, Ronnie (who just came back from several months in Korea)and the five of us. Here’s a great picture of Mahmah, Bob and Alice:
